Panja Vaisshnav Tej, whose 'Uppena' was a blockbuster earlier this year, has been on a signing spree. The news is that producer BVSN Prasad has roped him in for a promising film, which will be directed by Gireesaaya, the director of 'Adithya Varma', the Tamil version of 'Arjun Reddy'. The young filmmaker has previously assisted Nag Ashwin on 'Mahanati'.
The project will be launched on April 2 with an official puja ceremony. Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra is expected to reveal more details about the project in the coming days.
This is not the first project that the Mega hero has bagged since the release of 'Uppena' in February. A film of his will be produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna's Manam Entertainments later this year. To be directed by a debutant, the untitled flick is expected to be distinct.
Tej awaits the release of his film with Krish Jagarlamudi. The village-based drama was shot last year and features Rakul Preet Singh as a protagonist. The film's release date is yet to be announced.
