On the eve of Maha Shivaratri day, the director-producer duo of 'Vaisakham' have made it a point to speak about how the much-in-demand family entertainer had taken off with Lord Shiva's blessings. "Not only did the film start at a Shiva temple, there is a scene in the film where Chandiyagam is performed. The blessings of Shiva have been with us right from the beginning and it feels good to share that the shoot has been completed by the time of Shivarathri," Dynamic Lady Director B Jaya says.

Producer BA Raju says that 'Vaisakham' is in full demand from the distributors. "Films like 'Pelli Choopulu' and 'Shatamanam Bhavati' have performed sensationally in the overseas territory. Their performance has increased the buzz around small films, as can be made out from the huge interest in 'Vaisakham'. Amidst huge competition, the Overseas rights have been bought for fancy price by Blue Sky Entertainments," he adds.

It's not just in the overseas, but also in the domestic territory that the demand is impressive. "Buyers from various territories are offering crazy prices to acquire the rights. It is because each of B Jaya's movies - 'Premalo Pavani Kalyan', 'Chantigadu', 'Gundamma Gari Manavadu' and 'Lovely' - were money spinners. There is a trust on the films coming from RJ Cinemas banner and hence the huge interest," the producer adds.

Starring Harish and Avanthika in lead roles, it has Sai Kumar playing a key role.

Eeshawari Rao, Rama Prabha, Prudhvi, Kashi Vishwanath, Krishna Bhagwan, Sri Lakshmi, Gundu Sudarshan, Apparao, Seshu, Bhadra, Sampoo, Phani Madhvi, Jenni, Jabardasth Team Venki, Sridhar, Ram Prasad, Prasad, Teja, Shashank, Lateesh, Keerthi Naidu, Parameshwari, Govindrao, Neeranna Chowdhary, Raja Boyidi, Latha Sangaraju, Lavanya, Mounika, Chandini, Ishani Kalyani Kamre, Shahjahan Sujane are a part of the cast.

DJ Vasanth is the music director. Valishetty Venkata Subbarao is the cinematographer. Art direction is from Murali Kondeti. Dance choreography is from VJ Sekhar. B Jaya herself has written the story, besides editing the movie.
