Vairamuthu gets flak from this noted folk singer

When Vairamuthu’s refernce on Andal ina recent speech sparked controversy, a lot voiced out their condemnation against the poet. Noted singer and exponent of folk art Vijayalakshmi Navaneethakrishnan who is protesting the poet’s statement expressed her feelings regarding the same. 

“Vairamuthu’s apologies are unacceptable.It’s akin to slapping someone and adking them sorry. Our fast and protest will continue until he apologies paying obeisance at Andal’s feet,” she stated. Moreover rampant protests are taking place in Srivilliputhur against the poet seeking  his arrest by the police.
