Singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi gets engaged

Popular singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi became engaged to Anoop in a simple ceremony at her residence in Kerala.  The groom is an interior decorator and also a mimicry artiste and had approached Vijaylakshmi’s father two years back for her hand but it did not work out at that time.  The wedding is date is set on October 22nd.

It may be recalled that Vijayalakshmi was engaged to be married to one Santhosh in 2017 but she cancelled the marriage citing that he made unreasonable demands of her.  Vijaylakshmi who sang her first Tamil song in ‘Cuckoo’ went on to sing many hits and has currently rendered the chartbuster “Vaayadi Petha Pulla” in Sivakarthikeyan’s maiden production ‘Kanaa’ directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and starring Aishwarya Rajesh.  She is a great inspiration to one and all for proving that disablities are no hurdles in following ones dreams and achieving them.
