Of all Vadivelu's attempts as a solo hero it is 'Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi' produced by Shankar and directed by Chimbu Devan that tasted success and became memorable for both the talented comedian and millions of his fans. The trio reunited again for the sequel of the film which began shooting in August and has been stopped thrice due to Vadivelu's unproffesional behavior according to the team.
As per reports Vadivelu agreed to star in 'Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi' for a huge remuneration but after a few days shoot demanded more money and halted production the first time which was sorted out after many rounds of talks. The next problem is said to have cropped up because the ace comedian refused to work with many costars booked and wanted a change. The third problem was due to Vadivelu insisting that the team should employ his personal costumer for the entire film which they refused but later agreed to avoid further delays. The said costumer did not do a satisfactory job and when he was ousted went to his union for help and Vadivelu refused to shoot and did not heed any compromise talks from the production side. Shankar who has pumped in many crores for the hero's salary and extensive set work was left with no other option but to lodge a complaint with the TFPC who have turned to Nadigar Sangam for help.
It is learnt that the Nadigar Sangam have asked for Vadivelu's explanation and whether a compromise will be made or 'Imsai Arasan 24aam Pulikesi' will be dropped has become a big question now.
