Young actors Vaibhav and Nandita Swetha will be teaming up for a new movie titled ‘Taana’. The film will be directed by Yuvaraj who is a former associate director of Selvaraghavan.

‘Taana’ is an old word used by Tamil people to refer to a poilce station and policemen were called as ‘Taanakaaran’ in the bygone era. The title ‘Taana’ was initially considered for Sivakarthikeyan’s 2015 superhit film ‘Kakki Sattai’ directed by Durai Senthilkumar in which the former plays the role of a cop.

The film directed by Yuvaraj will have Pandiaraj essaying the role of father for Vaibhav and his ancestors are policemen according to the story. Pandiaraj vows to make his son a cop and this forms the crux of the story which apparently will have a lot of twists and turns and also a supernatural element.

The shooting of the film set in Ranipet is nearing completion. Harish Peradi plays the lead villain while leading comedian Yogi Babu will be seen in an important role in the movie.
