Comedian Vadivelu, had last acted in movies such as Vijay's Mersal and Vishal starrer Kaththi Sandai, and after these movies, it was expected that the actor will be playing the lead role in Imsari Arasan 24am Pulikecei directed by Chimbudeven and produced by Shankar.

However, there were lots of controversies in the project as the shoot did not begin as planned, with the producers and the team having a conflict with Vadivelu. After it was announced last year that the actor will return to acting with Kamal Haasan's Thalaivan Irukkindraan, Vadivelu has now opened up on his acting plans.

After his recent visit to Tiruchendur, Vadivelu met media, during which he was asked about his acting career, he said that his job is to make people laugh, and that he won't be doing documentary movies. He added that he has no idea of playing hero in any movies from now, and will only perform comedy tracks acting alongside heroes.
