Vadivelu has accused his longtime colleague Singamuthu of cheating him of several crores of rupees by forging property documents and threatening him with dire consequences.

On Tuesday, he lodged a complaint with Chennai Police Commissioner T Rajendran seeking action on Singamuthu and others who had allegedly cheated him in connection with the purchase of land.

"Singamuthu helped me buy some properties. However, I came to know many of my documents were forged during the Income Tax raid at my place recently," Vadivelu said.

"Hence I lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner on Tuesday. Following this, Singamuthu is now threatening me with dire consequences. I am hopeful that the police would take appropriate action against him," he added.

Vadivelu and Singamuthu had acted together in many films and scenes involving both the comedians are a huge hit among the masses.
