Vadivelu is one of the most loved actors ever in Tamil cinema and even though he has not had a proper movie for close to five years. The iconic comedian courted trouble after disrupting the production of Shankar's 'Imsai Arasan 24 aam Pulikesi' the sequel to the blockbuster hit 'Imsai Arasan 23 aam Pulikesi' released in the year 2006 which made him a hero for the first time.

There have been many speculations regarding the re-entry of Vadivelu in Tamil cinema and it has already been announced officially that he is part of Kamal Haasan's 'Thalaivan Irukkindran' which also has Vijay Sethupathi in an important role. There are also talks with Sundar C for 'Thalai Nagaram 2' and Mysskin's new movie starring Simbu in the lead.

Now the latest buzz is that Vadivelu has signed a new movie as hero to be directed by Suraj who created two of his most famous characters namely Naai Sekar in 'Thalai Nagaram' and Encounter Ekambaram in 'Marudhamalai'.
