Director V.Shekar known for his humor laden family dramas like 'Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana', 'Viralukkettra Veekkam' among others was arrested last year in connection with an idol smuggling case and is currently out on bail.

Shekar is one of the directors who helped shape Vadivelu's career by repeating him in film after film giving him many a memorable character. Now we learn that the Vaigai Puyal has extended his hand to V.Shekar telling him to revive his production house for which he will provide dates without remuneration till they make a profit. Nice gesture indeed.
