We had reported earlier that director Shankar has lodged a complaint against Vadivelu with the Producer Council and Nadigar Sangam due to his non-cooperation in the filming of 'Imsaiarasan 24aam Pulikesi' directed by Chimbu Devan.  The comedian has been paid a huge advance and sets have also been erected at the EVP premises costing many crores which are unused for the past several months.

On the 24th the Producer Council had called upon Vadivelu to solve the issues with Shankar and co-producers Lyca Productions but he never turned up which irked all concerned.  The producer council has given Vadivelu three days time to return a sum of rupees eight crores seventy five lakhs which is the amount spent by Shankar along with interest so far failing which legal action would reportedly be taken.
