Vadivelu debut venture as hero in Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi has managed to make it big at the box office. The history satire directed by debutant Simbu Devan and produced by Shankar, had excellent opening in all the theatres where the movie was screened.

The question now doing rounds in Kollywood is whether Vadivelu would return to play comedian or do only the lead roles?

A happy Vadivelu said, 'I shot to fame playing comedy roles. It is my cup of tea. Imsai Arasan was just an accident. I am not keen on playing the hero. I still love to do comedy roles'.

Vadivelu has in his kitty over half-a-dozen movies featuring him in comedy roles.

Says Vadivelu, 'Yesteryear comedian Nagesh is my role model. He now and then played the hero but was predominantly a comedy actor.'

Thanking Shankar and Simbu devan for giving him an opportunity to play the lead role, Vadivelu said, 'one rarely comes across such opportunities in his life. I was fortunate to get it.'
