Vadivelu is back to the form. After a forgettable experience with Indiralogathil Na Azhagappan, the comedian has decided to concentrate on his career as comedian. He plays a typical villager character in Thirumurugans Muniyandi: Vilangiyal Moondraam Aandu.
Vadivelu appears as Sorimuthu Ayyanar, whose main job is to chase off demons that descends on the villagers. As per the story, Madhumitha (Poorna) falls for the college-going Muniyandi (Bharath) and his thoughts seem to be taking over her mind and body. Vadivelu is called for to push out of the devil from Poornas body and he goes about his job in a manner typical of his own, sending the viewers into peels of laughter.
This scene was recently shot in the beautiful locales surrounding Pollachi in front of a huge gathering. Thirumurugan, whose Tamil soap Metti Oli on Sun TV has created a record of sorts, has now moved on to his second venture after his successful maiden venture Em Magan.
Thirumurugan has repeated Bharath for his second film too and the newcomer Poorna is paired with Bharath. Besides Bharath, Vadivelu and Poorna, Ponvannan, Tara, Babu, Yuva Shree and Yugendran play important roles. L Raja, who directed one of Arjuns earliest hits Sankarguru in the mid-eighties, plays the villain in the film.
While Vidyasagar scores the music, Vairamuthu writes the lyrics for the songs. Bhaskar Shakti pens the dialogues for this film as well. Cinematography, editing, and action are handled by Vaithi, M. Jayakumar, and Powerfast Karuppu respectively.
