Popular comedy actor Vadivelu Balaji has passed away shocking the entertainment industry.  According to initial reports, the actor who was 45 years old suffered a stroke due to a cardiac arrest fifteen days back and was admitted to a private hospital with both hands paralyzed.  Later due to lack of funds, he is said to have been shifted to a government hospital where he succumbed to the illness.

Balaji who initially became famous imitating Vadivelu on various Vijay TV shows later donned many getups including females and developed a huge fan following.  His work in 'Siricha Pochu' and 'Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru'and the dance show 'Jodi Number One' was especially outstanding.

Vadivelu Balaji also acted in a hilarious role in 'Kolamavu Kokila' directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar and starring Nayanthara and Yogi Babu.  The talented comedian is survived by his wife a son and a daughter.  We pray for the soul of the much-loved entertainer to rest in peace.
