Vadacurry
After delivering continuous hits with `Engeyum Eppoadhum' and `Raja Rani' actor Jai has become an actor to watch out for. Though his latest outing `Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham' ended up as an average grosser, his next film `Vadacurry' has a great buzz surrounding it. There are many reasons for this. First of all `Vadacurry' has many promises in store relating to comedy. Just by recollecting the films Jai has acted in the past, one can be assured of the young actor's expertise in handling comedy. The film is directed by debutante director Saravanan Rajan who has worked under Venkat Prabhu the director of hilarious comedy flicks. With this film, RJ Balaji has been elevated to a strong supporting character as the hero's friend. And his typical one-liners were umpteen in the trailer. Do we need anything else to vouch for the comic content of the film? The casting of Swathi as the lead heroine made heads turn since she has paired up with Jai after the path breaking super hit film `Subramaniapuram' that released in 2008.With the film being touted as a romantic comedy, and the highly adored pair of the recent times coming together after a long gap, refreshing romantic interludes can be expected. Yuvan Shankar Raja was initially appointed as the music director but the veteran opted out of the project after recording one song. The remaining songs and re-recording have been scored by Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon and the debutantes seem to be a fitting replacement. Last but not the least, `Vadacurry' will mark the kollywood debut of popular porn actress Sunny Leone who will be dancing for a sizzling item number and this has certainly raised the expectation about the film. While her name is enough to draw male youngsters to the theatres in large numbers, the film getting a clean U certificate makes it fit for viewing with family. Dayanidhi Alagiri has produced `Vadacurry' under his new banner Meeka Entertainments. This seems to be a safe bet for the young producer. 'Vadacurry' is ready to release on June 19 all over the world. Grab your tickets soon.
