Why 'Vada Chennai' got 'A' from censor

The Dhanush-Vettrimaaran combo's upcoming magnum opus 'Vada Chennai' went to the censors on Tuesday and the CBFC has awarded it an 'A' certificate disappointing the fans. Dhanush has explained that the film "comes with its raw, gritty, uncut intensity to the theatres from 17th October,".

'Vada Chennai' has the ensemble cast of Dhanush, Ameer, Andrea Jeremaiah, Aishwarya Rajesh, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Daniel Balaji and others. Music is by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Velraj, editing by G.B. Venkatesh and jointly produced by Wunderbar Films and Lyca Productions.
