Starting from April 28, registration for vaccination of individuals aged above 18 will begin. CoWIN app and Aarogya Setu app have been deployed for this purpose. The Government of India clarified that there will be no walk-ins for the 18-44 age group, meaning that those who walk into a vaccination centre without prior registration will not be entertained.

Contrary to rumours, registrations will not start from April 24. "The registrations will start on the #CoWIN platform and Aarogya Setu App from 28th April 2021 onwards. Stay informed, stay safe! #IndiaFightsCorona," the government said.

Beneficiaries will not be able to download CoWIN mobile app.

The government clarified that those aged 45 and above will continue to have the walk-in facility.

While registrations will begin from April 28, vaccination will begin from May 1.
