This is not the right kind of film to launch for the present genre. The lack story and substance in the film looks very pale. Except action scenes handled well by debutant Chiranjeevi Sarja the nephew of Tamil super star Arjun there is nothing to boast. Said to be a remake of Tamil film `Sandai Kozhi' (2005 movie directed by Linguswamy starring Vishal, Meera Jasmine, Lal, Rajkiran) the film produced by actor Arjun in the direction of his brother Kishore Sarja has an outdated and wafer thin story.
Balu (Chiranjeevi Sarja) a student of medical college becomes impatient from nefarious activities of Punja (Ajay). Just on his way back to home from Mangalore Balu severely attacks Punja in his home ground. It is a great insult for Punja and he is thirsty to have the blood of Baalu who is the son of a popular and powerful Chowde Gowda (Ambarish). He is from the highly respected family. Punja follows Balu to his home town and a series of encounters finally put down the courage of Punja.
Chiranjeevi Sarja is terrific in action. He has the height and muscular build. He dances well very weak in dialogue delivery. Arjun makes a very small presence in a song number. Aindrita Ray is once again a treat to watch. Ambarish lost control and looks very tired on the screen. Ramesh Bhat is impressive and rabble rouser Ajay is convincing.
Bare Bare Gopamma...Gil Gil Gillamma..Yaare Yaare Minugu Thare are well composed and captured on the screen. V Harikrishna is average in his music. Sundarnath Suvarana is the best part of this cinema `Vaayuputra'.
This is an average flick.
