Sethu plays the male lead in this film while Vishaka Singh and Nushrat Barucha playing female leads.  Like `KLTA', Santhanam plays the role that is equal to the lead character. Santhanam plays the titular character Vaaliba Raja who is a Psychiatrist and he will be sporting a unique get up for the film which has been inspired from Hollywood comedian Woody Allen. The film is all about a family told from the point of view of Santhanam's character.

Devadarshini, Jayaprakash, Subbu Panchu, Kanal Kannan and Mottai Rajendran are part of the supporting cast. Musical score has been rendered by Radhan of Telugu super hit `Andhala Rakshashi' and this is the young composer's Kollywood debut.  Loganathan has handled the camera. Editing is by Sathyaraj Natarajan.

'Vaaliba Raja' has been scheduled to hit the screens March 25. Abirami Ramanthan will be releasing the film in Chennai city theatricals under his Abirami Mega Mall banner.
