Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor who has a three film deal with Thala Ajith has already made 'Nerkonda Paarvai' and the upcoming 'Valimai' with him. He is also planning to shoot 'Thala 61' in 2022 and is said to have planned the 'Vaali' Hindi remake later with Ajith in the lead once again.
S.J. Suryah filed a case against the remake in the Madras High Court citing that while the dubbing rights of a film are with the producer the writer and director of the story has a claim when it is remade in other languages. The court ordered agains the filmmaker and ruled in the favor of the producers.
