Ever since Suriya's magnum opus 'Vaadivasal' was announced more than a couple of years it has remained a trending topic on social media. Its a dream project of acclaimed filmmaker Vetrimaaran backed by producer Kalaipuli S Thanu that is much awaited by all movie fans.

So far a test shoot has happened for 'Vaadivasal' which is based on the ancient Jallikattu sport of Tamils. The video was released on the ocassion of Suriya's birthday that showed him training with the bulls. The hero has also confirmed that he is training with a couple of bulls in his farm house.

Vetrimaaran during the promotion of his production venture 'Pettaikaali' has revealed that he has set 'Vaadivasal' in the 1960s during a volatile political situation that prevailed in Tamil Nadu. Anbana fans are already on cloud nine as Suriya known for his intense preparation will go to any extent to get his look right for the period.

According to reliable sources 'Vaadivasal' which has music by GVP will go on floors in mid 2023 after Suriya completes 'Suriya 42' and both the parts of Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai' starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi are released.
