It was through his much acclaimed 'Kanne Madanguka' featuring Navya Nair that director Albert Antony made a mark in Mollywood as a maker of quality movies. His second project was 'Nair Saan' a big budgeted historical which was planned in a big scale and backdrops with Mohanlal and Jackie Chan.But somehow the shoot for the movie has to be delayed due to technical reasons.And for the time being Albert Antony is getting ready with a movie of a different genre for the same producer Sunil Chandrika Nair under the title 'Vadamalli'.Featuring a bunch of youngsters the movie will be a youth flick expected to appease the new generation.
Vadamalli' will tell a triangular love story featuring new comers. The film stars Rahul Madhav, Ramesh, Richa Panai, Alisha and Niji Mary in the lead. Rahul is the new face who is also donning the lead in Pramod Pappan's 'Bangkok summer'. A Mangalore based model, who lived for many years at Kozhikode, he has earlier done two Tamil films, Adhe Neram Adhe Idam and the soon to be released Yugam
Richa famous as the lead model of Bhima, has also got a few other movies under her sleeve.. The movie has a music college as it backdrop where four friends Vasu, Sandhesh, Vrinda and Rehna are studying for their degree in music .Apart from Vasu all others are from economically and culturally affluent families, but their companionship with vasu who comes from a poor background changes the views about life of all others.
'Vadamalli' is scripted by Lazar Shine and Rajesh varma based on a story of the director.The movie will also bring back the hit music director Shyam , who will set the tunes to lyrics by Vayalar Sharath. Vaidy is the cinematographer while Raja Muhammad does the editing. The shooting of Vadamalli has been completed in Kochi, Alappuzha and Munnar and will grace the theatres as a May release.
