On May 7, TRS MLA Mahareddy Bhupal Reddy reportedly celebrated his birthday in the presence of 500 people in clear violation of the lockdown. It was a reporter working for V6, the prominent TV channel, who revealed the news. It's based on this report that, earlier this week, the Telangana High Court slapped a notice on the MLA.

On Friday, something unthinkable happened. The reporter's under-construction house in Narayankhed was demolished by authorities on the pretext that it was an illegal construction. As reported by The NewsMinute, the "under-construction house" was said not to have a "building permit".

As per the reporter, the demolition was carried out because the ruling party MLA had exerted pressure on Narayankhed's Municipal Commissioner.

The report brought out by the V6 channel's journalist was apparently not to the liking of the MLA. More details about the development are awaited.
