Descendants of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy, on whose life 'Sye Raa' is based, today staged a sit-in at Megastar Chiranjeevi's office in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. They said that the film's makers had learned about Narasimha Reddy's life and times from them. "They took our help in so many ways during the making of 'Sye Raa'. We helped them in scouting for locations, etc. We need justice in terms of adequate compensation," they said.

"Despite several promises, we haven't received justice till date. Chiranjeevi garu had given us a promise that our demands will be met. However, we haven't heard anything from the makers of the film," they added.

A few of them were detained by the Jubilee Hills police to avoid any untoward incident.
