Producer Adhambhava, known for the film "Anti Indian," has now ventured into directing with his latest project under the banner of Moon Pictures, titled "Uyir Thamizhukku" This political film features Aamir in the lead role alongside Chandini Sridharan as the female lead. The ensemble cast includes Anantharaj, Iman Annachi, Marimuthu, Raj Kapur, Subramaniasiva, Mahanadi Shankar, Rajasimman, Saravanashakti, and many others. Vidyasagar, the renowned music director, has made a successful comeback after a brief hiatus, while Devaraj handles the cinematography and Ashok Charles takes charge of the editing. The lyrics are penned by Balamurali Varman and Ajayanbala, with Pa.Vijay contributing to the songwriting.
With post-production work wrapped up, the film's team is currently engaged in the release-related tasks, aiming to launch the film during the Bakrid festival at the end of this month. Suresh Kamatchi, the producer behind the blockbuster "Convention," will release the film through his company, V House.
In the midst of this, it has been announced that "Mamannan," directed by Mari Selvaraj and starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, is also scheduled for a Bakrid release. This has raised the question of whether "Uyir Thamizhukku'' will stick to its planned release alongside "Mamannan." However, Adhambava, both the producer and director, remains firm in his decision to release the film during the Bakrid festival, citing not only the extended holidays but also sentimental reasons."Mamannan" is a political drama that approaches the subject matter with a serious tone, while "Uyir Thamizhukku" takes a satirical approach to politics. The question of whether these two films will spark a healthy competition and attract audiences to the theaters is yet to be answered. We will patiently observe and monitor the situation.
