Uyir
Srikanth's recent release Mercury Pookal managed a decent run bringing smiles back on his face.
Srikanth is confident that his forthcoming movie Uyir directed by Samy would bring him back to limelight again.
Srikanth says, 'Uyir has Sangeetha and Malayalam actress Samvrutha acting along with me. The movie has come out well and I am hoping for a turnaround.'
The actor, who recently received the award for the best actor from Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for his role in Parthiban Kanavu, says, 'The storyline is quite diffrerent and it is a sequence of interesting incidents one may come across in daily life'.
Samy, a one-time associate of Parthiban and Cheran, is elated at the way Uyir has shaped up.
He says, 'I have attempted a different kind of love story, which the Tamil audience has never seen before'. On working with Srikanth, he says, 'He (Srikanth) is a bundle of energy and it's really nice to work with him. Equally nice is to be part of a team which has talented artistes and good technicians'.
Another highlight of the movie is the musical score by Joshua Sridhar.
Samvrutha is thrilled to be part of the movie. She says, 'It is a decent role sans any glamour. The whole crew was nice to work with and is a perfect platform to launch herself in Tamil'.
Interestingly Sangeetha plays Srikanth's aunt in the movie, which is kept a secret.
Uyir has all commercial ingredients being narrated in a interesting manner. I am hopeful of achieving success, sums up Samy.
