UTV's DVD ON-DEMAND service launched

UTV Motion Pictures has announced an agreement with US based TitleMatch Entertainment Group; a subsidiary of Protocall Technologies Incorporated and developer of the world's first CSS enabled DVD on-demand service for distribution of UTVMP film library in retailers and e-tailers in North America.

The agreement calls for films from the UTV Motion Pictures library such as National Award winner & BAFTA nominated Rang De Basanti, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Taxi 9211, Life in a ... Metro, and Parineeta to be available on the TitleMatch DVD On-Demand(tm).

UTV is a major force in the multi-billion dollar market for Hindi and region specific movies from India, said Syd Dufton, President of TitleMatch Entertainment Group. We believe there is a tremendous revenue opportunity with UTV in many geographic markets throughout the United States where demand is particularly strong for movies from India. We are thrilled to be working with UTV and to make their movies available through the TitleMatch DVD on-demand service.

The TitleMatch DVD On-demand service lets movie studios and retailers burn video content directly in stores and at website distribution centers at the time orders are placed. At retail stores, consumers can browse and select available products from multi-media touch-screen display terminals located on the sales floor. Orders are produced behind the counter on the TitleMatch Factory by store personnel in minutes.

For online orders, consumers browse and select available titles from an etailer's website with orders produced at product distribution centers or store locations by using the system's TitleMatch Factory(TM). In recent months TitleMatch has amassed one of the largest selections of movies from India for burn on-demand production at retail stores.

UTV Motion Pictures is a major international producer & distributor in the multi-billion dollar market for films from India.
