UTV Motion Pictures is having it's hands full as far as it's association with multiple projects is concerned over next few months. Following are the details:

UTV Animation:

UTV has a slate of 5 animation films that are at various stages of production, pre-production and scripting hence making it the largest animation film slate to come out of India in 2009-2010.

Indian Domestic Animated Features:

"Arjun" - a two-part story movie on an Indian mythological warrior prince of the same name has already gone into production. The first of the 2 action adventure films is expected to release in 2009 and is being directed by ex-Turner Creative Director - Arnab Chaudhari.

"Dream Blanket" - a film directed by Ice Age animator - Simi Nallaseth is schedule for a late 2009 release. This film is in pre-production and is designed for family viewing.

Alibaba, Chinku and the 40 thieves - The classic children's tale revisited is being directed by Soumitra Ranade.

All 4 (Arjun is a 2 part series) films will involve an international production crew.

Co Productions:

Jodha Akbar: January 25, 2008
The Happening: June/July, 08 (Directed by M.Night Shyamalan, Hollywood film co produced by UTV & FOX)

SPOT Boy (UTV' s film production arm launched in May' 07)

2008 Releases are :

Amir: Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, written by Anurag Kashyap
Mahadev: Directed by Shyam Benegal

UTV has also entered into a co-production agreement with Will Smith's production company Overbrook Entertainment (USA). The film is currently in scripting and will star Will Smith as one of the main voices.
