UTV co-founder Deven Khote turns director

HeÂs been a best personality in the World of Indian Advertising Fraternity, UTV co-founder Deven Khote will commence his debut directorial with ÂFilm CityÂÂ . Perhaps, being bounded to World of Cinema for a long time, shouldÂve urged him to make a film set against the backdrops of tinsel town. Roping in the Bollywood stunner John Abraham to play an important role in the movie has indeed raised everyoneÂs expectations across the B-Town.
The film is a light-hearted story of a chawl situated next to Film City, the studio complex of the Bollywood film industry. It follows the misadventures, antics and lives of its quirky residents as they try to piece together their own movie. The protagonist of the film Raju, a spot-boy who is a life-long resident of the chawl sets the ball rolling!
Getting along with much excited-elatedness,Deven Khote, co-founder, UTV said, ÂAfter gaining an understanding of various avenues in the entertainment industry, direction was the obvious choice, an unexplored avenue. The piece of work amalgamation of two thoughts, one which got sparked off by observing a spot boy and the other deriving inspiration from a bunch of boys in Malegaon spoofing them; Film City brings the two together and centres around these nuts trying to make a film.Â
