Utthara Unni: First said no to celebrations, now POSTPONED her wedding!

With the coronavirus outbreak, professional Bharatanatyam dancer and actress Utthara Unni earlier announced that she had decided to cancel her wedding celebrations and that only the thaali-kettu (sacred thread tying) ritual will happen on the scheduled date in a temple. But now, the actress and her fiance Nitesh Nair decided to postpone their wedding to a late date after August as the lockdown played spoilsport with their dream wedding that was scheduled to happen in April.

In an interview with Times of India, Uthara revealed the same. “At first we had planned to have a simple thaalikettu ceremony in April, but with temples also getting closed and the situation getting worse around the world, we decided to push the wedding to a later date. I guess it might take another two months for things to get back to normal and so, the wedding might happen after August, in the month of Chingam, said the 'Edavapathy' actress.

Early this year, Utthara and Nitesh got engaged in a grand ceremony. At their engagement, Nitesh went on his knees and tied her the Bharatanatyam anklets instead of presenting her a ring.
