In a shocking video that has surfaced online, a woman is being shot in the face after she stops dancing at a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Chitrakoot.

The woman, who is dancing on the stage along with another woman, stops her performance in a few seconds when a man in an inebriated state yells that he will shoot her if she stopped dancing. In less than five seconds, the woman is unexpectedly shot in the face from behind, while people gather around her.

The woman, who has been admitted to a hospital in Kanpur, is in a critical condition. An FIR has been registered against the man. "We are trying to arrest the accused. We are making all the efforts to bring the culprit to justice," an official investigating the case reportedly said.
