In an appalling incident reported from Uttar Pradesh's Deoria, a station house officer (SHO) of the Bhatni police station was suspended after he was allegedly accused of masturbating in front of a woman.

The incident happened when the woman had gone to the police station to file a complaint regarding a land dispute. The accused official, identified as Bhishm Pal Singh, allegedly touched his private parts in front of her while she was inside his office to lodge the complaint. "I ignored his misbehaviour for the first 2-3 times and wanted him to lodge our case in the land dispute. But then one of my relatives had said that she also faced a similar incident at the hands of this officer. This is when I decided to film him," the woman reportedly stated.

Speaking about the despicable act of the police officer and the action that has been taken against him, an investigating official had mentioned, "An FIR has been registered against him and he has been suspended. Action is being taken."
