Uttama Villain (aka) Uthama Villain Preview

Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International joins hands with director N. Lingusamy’s Thirupathi Brothers for ‘Uttama Villain’ which is written by Kamal Haasan and directed by popular actor Ramesh Arvind.
 
Kamal Haasan plays dual roles, one of which is an eighth century Theiyam Artiste, Uttaman and the other is a contemporary Film Superstar Manoranjan.  K .Balachander in his last film appearance plays Manoranjan’s mentor.

‘Uttama Villain’ has an enviable star cast which includes Urvashi as Manoranjan’s wife, Andrea Jeremaiah as the love interest of Manoranjan,  director K. Viswanath as Manoranjan’s father in law. Jayaram plays a pivotal role as Jacob Zachariah  and  Paravathi Menon as his adopted daughter and M.S. Bhaskar plays the very important role of Chokku Chettiar which Kamal has said is his favorite character in the film.

Pooja Kumar portrays the role of an emotionally disturbed princess in the 8th century who affects Uttaman and Nasser plays the powerful role of a dictator in the same period.  Parvathi Nair is also in the cast.

Ghibran  is handling the music score, Shamdat the camera and Vijay Shankar the editing. ‘Uttama Villain’ is scheduled to be released on the 1st of May 2015.
