From newcomers very rarely convincing story and screenplay comes up on screen. This ‘Usirigintha’ is one such that gathers attention but because of lack of good actor – protagonist the film fails to give a grand treat.

Director Surya Kiran also in the lead role should have thought of a different hero in his place. It is his inexperience in acting and monotonous style throughout the film bothers the viewers. When ‘Chaitrada Premanjali’ was released in early 90’s the same thought came to the media – a good looking and performer in that place was discussed. Like ‘Chaitrada Premanjali’, Usirigintha is also good in songs. There are some exotic locations (may be computer graphics), two heroines have done well, cinematography and music are also par excellence.

Surya is madly in love with Rashmi. Rashmi also reciprocate but her mother death reveals a secret that keeps her intentions of continuing love at a distance. Rashmi goes missing. Sahana a relative of Surya waiting for the nod from Surya helps at the right time. It is a transformation feels Sahana but there is a jolt at this time. Rashmi arrives again. Surya shift his loyalty to Rashmi again. Destiny in life Sahana changes again. Her advice to Rashmi to take care of Surya in life is not possible. Rashmi marries the boss of her office.

With Sahana and Rashmi detaching in life what is the best place for Surya? It is mental asylum.

The hair style, acting style and screen presence of Surya Kiran as hero needs considerable improvement. Estar Narohna in her debut in Kannada looks like an angel. She has good potential. Vidya another heroine is also very good in her emotions.

Ramesh Bhat, Yathiraj (as auto driver with good thoughts), Ramakrishna, Aruna Balaraj given good support in character roles. ‘Bindu’ soft drink comedy episode is atrocious.

There three melodious tunes that last long from this film. Avinash and Sriram first melody beauty is ‘Usirigintha Neene Hattira… Anju Malle…is also impressive.

Suresh Babu in his camera has given visual treat.

This is a free time watch.

Score – 6/10
