Usher just dropped a shocking star-studded announcement: he's performing in the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show presented by Apple Music. News of it was announced on Sunday, saying that R&B icons will be hitting the stage at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium on February 11, 2024. And to finally tell Usher this awesome news, Apple News posted several promotional clips with different celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders, Odell Beckham Jr., and Marshawn Lynch, who made surprise phone calls to the skeptical artist.

In the one-minute Confession clips, Usher is seen seriously writing a song lyric in the booth of a recording studio when his cell phone starts ringing. Each celebrity funnily tells him about his Super Bowl headlining gig—news that he first doesn't believe but later realizes and welcomes. In another video, an up-to-date Usher comes through the door to confirm with the real Usher the news while at the same time telling him to get ready for the big day.

This is the fifth year that Roc Nation will be in partnership with the NFL on halftime show production. Artists like Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and Rihanna, among others, have previously been headliners of halftime shows. Usher has a new album titled Coming Home that will drop before he leads up the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show scheduled for February 11th next year. His last album was in 2016 called Hard II Love, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. Coming Home comprises his Grammy-winning song for 2023 with Summer Walker and 21 Savage, dubbed Good Good.

Usher said he's excited about the album and what it represents, saying that this is a celebration of music—his homecoming in so many ways, including reuniting with my team and reconnecting to my roots.
