US issues warning to citizens after Kerala floods

In the past two days alone, atleast 22 people have lost their lives in Kerala owing to the incessant rains and floods. Now the United States of America government has advised its citizens not to visit Kerala keeping in mind the dangerous situation.
The US has warned the citizens that Kerala has been having landslides due to the ruthless southwest monsoon and all its citizens must avoid visiting the affected areas. “Avoid all areas throughout Kerala affected by landslides and flash floods,”it said.
In addition to this, the shutters of 22 reservoirs in Kerala has been opened up due tothe increasiong water levels in the state due to rain. The release of the Idamalayar dam resulted in the flooding of low laying districts as well.
