[VIRAL VIDEO] Hindu Sena members offer prayers for Donald Trump's victory

While the mood is tense in the United States of America as the nation is expecting the official announcement of a winner in the presidential elections, members of the Hindu Sena in New Delhi is apparently rooting for Trump in the mean time.

A viral video shows the Hindu Sena offering special prayers for Trump's victory, with priests chanting mantras and performing other such rituals. On being asked about their logic in supporting Trump, the Sena cited reasons which were mostly Islamophobic. Even for his last election we sought blessings for his victory. This time again we are seeking blessings for Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential elections. His winning will not only be victory for the world, but also for India as US has been a good ally for us against China and Pakistan, the Hindu Sena president reportedly informed a news agency. Further defending their stance, he also apparently pointed out the execution of former Islamic State chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and former Iranian major general Qassem Soleimani by Trump.

Another report quoted the president of Hindu Sena as saying, Islamic terrorists are beheading innocent people in the name of Islam. They have waged a war against us. We need to unite and fight and for that we need Mr Trump to become US President once again. Ahead of Trump's visit to India in February this year, the fringe group had organized a similar ritual to seek God's blessings for PM Narendra Modi and Trump and to pray that they could work together to eradicate terrorism.

A couple of months ahead of the November 3 elections, Democratic party members released the remixed version of a popular Bollywood song 'Chalo Chalo' from the movie 'Lagaan,' in an attempt to woo the Indian-American voters. The song was sung by Silicon Valley-based Bollywood singer Titli Banerjee and released by entrepreneur couple Ajay and Vinita Bhutoria. It is a warfighting song, drawing from the energy of Indian celebrations, inspiring our community to awaken and vote for Biden-Harris in November, Bhutoria reportedly said, as quoted by a news agency.
