Keshap, a senior diplomat of the US Department of State, who is on an official visit to India, suddenly posed a question to the Americal Embassy official in India as to where the hero played in ÂQuick Gun Murugan stays and expressed his wish to meet the hero. Keshap is the director, Office of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh Affairs, Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, at the Department of State in the United States.
KeshapÂs father is of Indian origin and hence he has great interest in Indian films. He happened to watch the film ÂQuick Gun Murugan during a flight journey and impressed with the performance. Learning that he is from Andhra Pradesh and is a Telugu film hero, he reached Hyderabad and the officials dashed a letter well in advance to Dr Rajendra Prasad that Keshap wants to meet him at the shooting location itself as he doesnÂt want to disturb his schedule. As per his wish, Keshap met Dr Rajendra Prasad at Bhoot Bangla in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad where Rajendra Prasad was shooting ÂAyyareÂ. Talking to Nata Kireeti, Keshap says, ÂI watched your film Quick Gun Murugan for five times. I was so fascinated at your performance. I strongly believe that a hearty laugh would make a person healthy. I wish you do many more such films and entertain the audiences, with a healthy comedy. Replying to his compliments, Dr Rajendra Prasad says, ÂWhen I was young, I too had a strong wish to meet veteran actors like NTR and ANR. I am very happy that Keshap had come all the way from the US to meet me. I am proud to be a Telugu man, who received such an honour.Â
It is worth mentioning here that ÂQuick Gun Murugan had earned lots of compliments across the world. Even in India, veteran artistes like Amitabh Bachchan and Ameer Khan lauded the acting capabilities of Rajendra Prasad in this film. Rajendra Prasad says, ÂThe film proved that India too could produce excellent films which could impress any person in the world. I am quite fortunate to be a part of the film. Another top US official Syed also participated in the meeting.
