Urvashi, Gopika in the lead

In the early seventies and eighties, Malluwood saw a number of movies which has female protagonist in the lead.
All those movies told realistic stories narrated powerfully. But as the male stardom and heroes began ruling cinemas, those types of movies lost root and films wandered around stories of histrionics and heroism.
Now a movie is in the making with two female characters in the lead. The film titled Nagaram will present Gopika and Urvashi in the lead and tells the story of two ladies enmeshed in the realities of city life.
The film with the story by director M A Nishad will have the screenplay by Rajan Kiriyath. The film which will start rolling within a few days will be distributed by Emil and Eric.
