First, it was Kamal Haasan who surprised everyone by entering politics suddenly and establishing his Makkal Neethi Maiam party and giving more than a few headaches to the established local and national parties such as DMK, ADMK and BJP. A few days back his 'Ninaithalae Inikkum' leading lady Jaya Pradha joined the BJP.
Today another of Kamal Haasan's costars Urmila Matondkar has joined the Congress in the presence of the party public relations officer Randeep Surjewala. The pretty lady was one of the leading ladies along with Manisha Koirala in Kamal's global super hit 'Indian' directed by Shankar. It is already whispered in political circles that the Urmila could get a ticket to contest the MP election 2019 from the North Mumbai constituency.
Urmila has stated "I’m here because I believe in the ideology of Congress and what the party stands for. I've never done anything half-heartedly in my life, nor is this decision one of those and I want to say that I'm here to stay"
