After the critically acclaimed hard hitting political thriller Uriyadi released in 2016, Director and Actor Vijay Kumar is back with the soul sequel to the movie, Uriyadi 2, which stars himself, along with a fresh team, and produced by actor Suriya in his 2D Entertainment banner.

The audio launch of the movie was held today, followed by the launch of the teaser, and speaking at the event, director Vijay Kumar praised the planning and execution of 2D entertainment, the pre-planning of schedules and the lack of interference or stress to the creator, and called it a rarity.

The director broke down, as he said "Of the 200 odd films releasing in Tamil every year, there are at least 150 of them with issues, and I know the pain it gives". He further added that he did not face such issues, and said 2D Entertainment must produce many more movies, giving opportunity for numerous fresh talents. Vijay also heaped praises on music director Govind Vasantha for his impressive music, and the movie is releasing this summer.
