Uppukandam Brothers

'Uppukandam Brothers'- the hit movie from T S Suresh Babu was one movie which told the rivalry and fight between two big households. The movie also was based on a silent love story that sparkled between two members of the two families. Now after more than a decade from the original, T S Sureshbabu is back with the sequel of the movie in the title 'Uppukandam Brothers- back in action'.

The sequel will be the debut pad for the popular Tamil actor Sreekanth into Mollywood. He will be in the role of Uppukandam Bobby in the movie. The flick will also present Richard as Ettuveettil Ganeshan and Shameer khan, the grandson of legendary actor Prem Nazir, in another pivotal role.

The original flick had Uppukandam Kora, an upright person fearing nothing as the hero, who but was killed in an encounter. He had four children, Kunjannamma, Senichan, Joyichan and Bennichan. The eldest of the four, Kunjannama was married to kuravilanagad and still nurtured close relations with her ancestral family. She had three children named Kochammini, Bobby and Seban, who also boasted much about their Uppukandam ancestry.

Years ago the dead body of Sambrikkal Ashokan was found in a river, which was largely said to be the deed of Uppukandam brothers, as the died youth was in love with  Kochammini. Now after a decade from the incident, the son of Ettuveettil Ananthanpaillai, Ganeshan is back to take revenge. The sequel will also follow the original in its style and story leads, narrating the violent clashes between the two big families.

Vani Viswanath is Kochammini while Seena, Babu Anony, Jagadheesh and Baiju will become Kunjannam, Sevichan, Joyichan and Bennichan. Also in the cast are Jagathy, Suraj venjaaramoodu, Harishri Ashokan, Rajmohan Unniithan, Ravi vallathol and kanakalatha.

Scripted by Reji Mathew,' Uppukandam Brothers-back in action' will have music by Alphonse Joseph. U K Senthil Kumar cranks the camera while don max does the editing.

The movie produced by Manzoor in the banner of Mass reels will be brought to theatres by Screens Arts and Highness release.
