The year 2021 has been a great one for Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi as two of his movies 'Master' starring Thalapathy Vijay and 'Uppena' costarring Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty have become massive blockbuster hits. The common thread in both these projects is that Vijay Sethupathi played the chief antagonist.
Director Buchchi Babu Sana made his directorial debut with 'Uppena' and in spite of choosing a familiar love vs caste subject his intense treatment gave audiences a new experience and they rewarded it with full houses. Vaishnav Tej and Krithi Shetty played the star-crossed lovers while Vijay Sethupathi towered as the ruthless castist.

Ravi Shankar, and Sukumar the producers of 'Uppena' have gifted a Benz car worth rupees seventy-five lakhs to Buchchi Babu Sana for delivering such a moneyspinner for all the stakeholders. The young director took his mentor director Sukumar for a ride in his new luxury vehicle and shared the pics on social media.
