'Taxiwala' was supposed to be Vijay Deverakonda's summer release this year. But it has been postponed due to VFX updations. The news is that the film's director, Rahul Sankrityan, has opened up on the film amidst rumours that it is being reshot.

"Just to clear the air. The film's release date will be announced shortly through the official sources. True that the delay is because of Graphics work and some other factors. But so far not even a single shot of Taxiwala is reshot. News about reshoots and all other rumours are not true. Output has come out kickass and the whole team is proud of it," the young director says.

"Also, don't watch or share any leaked portions of the movie and don't land yourself in trouble. Don't miss the magic what 24 crafts can create on a big screen. It's just the matter of time. Thanks for waiting," he notes.

While 'Geetha Govindam' being a family entertainer, 'Taxiwala' is a multi-genre film with fantasy elements thrown in.
