Ajay Devgan's 2015 blockbuster thriller 'Drishyam' was a remake of Mohanlal's Malyalam film of the same name. The film was a tremendous success which is why director Jeethu Joseph came up with a second part which was a continuation of the story. 'Drishyam 2' was released couple months ago and it has been received with positive reviews. Some critics even went as far as calling it better than the original.
Considering the popularity of Hindi version of the first part and Ajay Devgan's streak of content rich films, the talks about the sequel of 'Drishyam' were inevitable. Latest reports suggest that the rights for the Hindi remake of the film have been purchased by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak's Panorama Studios.
Jeethu Joseph, wh ojs currently working on the Telugu remake of the film is delighted and supportive of the deal as he believes that Hindi audience deserve to know what happened next in the story. He said, "The story of Drishyam 2 resonated with people and I am so glad that Panorama Studios will make it reach to a wider audience with the Hindi remake. I am looking forward to it.”
