SS Rajamauli's 'Bahubali' series was nothing short of a phenomena for the Indian film industry. It thrashed several records and set some new ones. The massive success of the films prompted Netflix to announce a prequel web show about the saga. The project titled 'Bahubali: Before The Beginning' was supposed to be focused on the character of Shivagami. The show was headlined by Mrunal Thakur and a pretty good chunk was filmed as well. But the reports suggest that Netflix decided to reshoot the whole thing with a fresh script. A whole new budget was also alloted to the team.
However, this mid production reboot has caused several complications and Mrunal Thakur has decided to walk away from the project. A source close to the development shared, "Mrunal is no longer a part of the series due to lack of clarity from the production house after shooting 70% of the film 2 years back...Mrunal has moved on from the project as she had other professional commitments."
Apart from this, Mrunal will be seen in films like 'Toofan' and 'Jersey' alongside Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor respectively.
