The pre-look of Ravi Teja's 67th movie was released on Saturday. To be directed by Ramesh Varma, the thriller is going to be a remake of the Tamil movie 'Sathuranga Vettai 2', which was recently in the news over its OTT release. The Tamil original stars Arvind Swamy and Trisha Krishnan and was completed in 2017.
Since it's a heist thriller, a suitable title has been chosen. 'Khiladi' is learned to be the title. The Tamil original didn't release in theatres. Ravi Teja watched the movie to ascertain if he can do the remake. It's learned that a modified version of the original was narrated to him by a writer, a version that the Mass Maharaja liked.
The Telugu remake, to be produced by Satyanarayana Koneru, Pen Studios and A Studios, has got yet another interesting update. Meenakshi Chaudhary and Dimple Hayathi have been roped in to play the first and second female leads, respectively.
Director Ramesh Varma, who has previously wielded the megaphone for Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas' 'Rakshasudu' (which was also a remake), is expected to get the remake with Mass Maharaja spot on.
The film's launch ceremony will be held on Sunday.
