Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has some really interesting projects under production at the moment. While his 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is awaiting release, he has been working on 'Heera Mandi' as well as his passion project 'Baiju Bawra'. Bhansali has already roped in actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt for the lead roles and now latest buzz suggests that he's going to expand the roster by introducing yet another pair of well known actors in 'Baiju Bawra'.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, "The prep work on Baiju Bawra is going on side by side with the post-production work of SLB’s next, Gangubai. The team is planning to take it on floors by mid-2022 with a start to finish marathon schedule on humongous studios. Ranveer and Alia are locked to play the two leads in the film, and another leading lady is expected to come on board for a key role.”

The source added, "Alia and Ranveer aside, two more renowned actors – one male, one female – will come on board the project and the casting work is currently in progress.”

Alia and Ranveer previously starred together in 'Gully Boy' and their chemistry was one of the highlight of the film. So naturally, fans are excited to see an ace filmmaker like Bhansali is going to utilise them.
