With the release of the last part of the most awaited series, 'Money Heist', Netflix kickstarted the last month of the year with a bang and also tripled the joy of the subscribers by cutting off an average of 50% in all its plans. Netflix India’s basic streaming plan now comes at Rs 199, down from Rs 499 earlier, translating into the largest reduction of 60.12%. The price of the mobile plan has decreased by 25.12% to Rs 149 from Rs 199 earlier while the standard plan has seen a price reduction of 23.11% to Rs 499, from Rs 649.
The excitement and don't stop there, Netflix is all set to treat its lovable subscribers with back to back releases all throughout the month. With Dulquar Salman's biographical crime thriller Kurup the second half of December proves to be everything entertaining. The actor played the role of a criminal named Sukumara Kurup, who is wanted by the Kerala State Police Department since 1984. In an exciting development for fans who could not catch the movie in the theatre, the makers have now dropped the film on the OTT platform.
One of Netflix's most popular series, The Witcher 2 is back to screen around the world. The popular monster hunter's adventures - popularised video games from Polish game studio CD Projekt Red - have been adapted for the show from the source material, Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski's short stories and novels. Just like how people waited for Money Heist, the film Don't breath also has its own fanbase and after the grand success in theatres, the film is all set to premiere on Netflix on December 18.
Netflix's Squid games started a new trend and became of the most-watched series around the world. The success of this Korean drama has resulted in the release of many such which also includes, 'The silent sea'. The first episode of this series will be released on December 24. Leonardo DiCaprio's next big film 'Don't look up' will also premiere on the same date.
Last but not the least, our own chocolate boy Madhavan is back again for yet another web series, named Decoupled. It traces the story of a misanthropic writer and his startup-founder wife juggling their divorce with the absurdities and annoyances of life in their affluent world. With all these back to back releases, we are sure December is going to be fab.
