Here we take a look at the upcoming multistarrers of Kollywood releasing in the coming months.

'Vikram Vedha '

In director Vikraman's wholesome family entertainer, Vijay gives one of his best performances with a boy next door charm. He got a golden opportunity to showcase his comedic and sentimental side to blockbuster results.

'Vivegam'

Director Siruthai Siva’s third film with Thala Ajith is an international espionage thriller shot entirely in Bulgaria with an enviable starcast comprising of Bollywood heavy weight Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Agarwal , Karunakaran and Akshara Haasan among others. The mega film is the sole attraction for August 2017.

'Magalir Mattum'

Directed by Brahmma G this film is an all woman multistarrer bringing together formidable actresses Jyothika, Bhanupriya, Urvashi and Saranya Ponvannan. The film produced by Suriya is ready for release on an appropriate date in July or August.

'Velaikaaran'

Mohan Raja’s follow up to his critically acclaimed blockbuster, ‘Thani Oruvan’ has Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Fazil, Nayanthara, Sneha and Prakash Raj amongst the ensemble cast. The film hits the screens on the Navarathiri weekend the 29th of September.

'Spyder'

Tollywood Prince, Mahesh Babu makes his Tamil debut in ‘Spyder’ directed by A.R. Murugadoss which has Bharath, S.J. Surya and Rakul Preeth Singh in the cast. Release has been planned for the 29th of September.

'Mersal'

Thalapathy Vijay’s grand Diwali offering ‘Mersal’ directed by Atlee, produced by Thenandal Studios, written by Vijayendhra Prasad and music scored by A.R. Rahman is also a multistarrer. The film has Kajal Agarwal, Samantha, Nithya Menen, S.J. Surya, Vadivelu, Sathyaraj, Sathyan and Kovai Sarala in the cast.

'Thaana Serndha Koottam'

Suriya’s 2D Entertainment and Studio Green present the multistarrer directed by Vignesh Shivan which has Suriya, Karthick, Keerthy Suresh, Nandha, Ramya Krishnan, Saranya Ponvannan and Senthil among others. The film is expected to be a grand November release.

'Thupparivaalan'

Mysskin’s detective thriller has Vishal, Prasanna, Vinai Rai, Anu Emmaneul, Andrea Jeremaiah and veteran K. Bhagyaraj in the cast and the film is expected to hit the screens in the coming months.

'Vada Chennai'

Vetrimaaran’s ambitious gangster trilogy brings together Dhanush, Ameer, Samuthirakani, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jermaiah , Daniel Balaji and Kishore among others and with 90 percent shooting already complete the film could well hit the screens within 2017.

'Party'

Touted as a Venkat Prabhu hangover, the film is a full blooded multistarrer with the right mix of youth and seniors in the form of Jai, Mirchi Shiva, Kayal Chandran, Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Pethuraj joining with veterans Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Nassar, Sampathraj and the comeback queen of the year Ramya Krishnan. Knowing the brisk pace of VP this film could well be a Christmas attraction this year.

'Kaala'

Ranjith’s second film with Superstar Rajinikanth after the monster hit ‘Kabali’ also has the powerhouse Bollywood actor par excellence, Nana Patekar and a host of other actors like Samuthirakani, Arvind Aakash, Huma Qureshi, Easwari Rao, Suganya and Sayaji Shinde. The grand release is planned for the 14th of January 2018.

'2.0'

Shankar’s magnum opus scifi adventure brings together Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar along with Amy Jackson. The costliest Indian film so far will hit the screens aiming at the summer 2018 April 14th.

'Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja'

Prabhu Deva returns to direct ion with this mega film which will have Karthi, Vishal, Arya and Sayeeshaa Saigal in the cast. The film is aimed to collect funds for the Nadigar Sangam buildings and will most probably hit the screens during summer 2018.

'Sangamithra'

Thenandal Studios and Sundar C made a huge buzz by announcing the period fantasy film at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Jayam Ravi and Arya are the two male leads while Shruti Haasan who was to play the title role departed due to creative differences and the producers have announced that they have already signed an apt replacement for filming to begin in August.
